Each type of coverage includes exam fees, diagnostics, and treatment. We even cover the most advanced treatments, like chemotherapy and surgery, and some you may not expect such as acupuncture, so you can follow your vet's recommendations with less worry about cost.

Accidents
Accident coverage will take care of costs for injuries and emergencies related to accidents, like torn ligaments, bite wounds, cuts, broken bones, lodged foreign objects, and toxic ingestions.

Illnesses
With illness coverage, you’ll be reimbursed for the costs of major and minor illnesses, such as cancer, arthritis, hypothyroidism, digestive problems, and UTIs.

Hereditary & Congenital Conditions
This coverage is for the costs of inherited conditions and birth defects that don’t show symptoms until later in your pet’s life, like heart disease, IVDD, eye disorders, and hip dysplasia.

Behavioral Issues
Behavioral issues coverage can help with the costs of vet visits for concerning behaviors that may be related to anxiety or compulsive behavior, like excessive licking, fur pulling, and destruction of the home.

What is an annual coverage limit?
Annual Coverage Limit – The total amount you can be reimbursed over one 12-month policy period.
This limit resets whenever a new policy period begins.
TIP: Pick the highest amount you think you might spend on accidents and illnesses in a year. Raising your coverage limit later will require starting a new plan and make any conditions your pet has had pre-existing.

Reimbursement Percentage
After the deductible is met, we will reimburse a percentage of covered expenses according to the reimbursement percentage you select.

With this option, once you hit your deductible, there is no cap on your annual claim limit.

Preventive Care Option

What is a deductible?
Deductible - The amount you must satisfy for covered veterinary expenses before you can start being reimbursed.
You can select a deductible of $100, $250, $500, $750, or $1,000. You'll only need to satisfy it once per 12-month policy period.
TIP: If you want a lower premium, select a higher deductible. If you want more money back for your claims, select a lower deductible.

What is a reimbursement percentage?
Reimbursement Percentage - The percentage of covered costs paid back to you after your deductible is satisfied.
You can choose to be reimbursed 90%, 80%, or 70% of your vet bill.

Terms and Conditions
For your convenience, we’ll automatically issue you a new plan every plan period unless you contact us to cancel. We’ll use your current payment method and notify you in advance of any changes to your plan or premium.

Pet Residence Restriction
Your pet must reside with you at the primary address listed on the declarations page. It is your responsibility to notify us of any change in address. A change in your primary address may result in a change to coverage availability and rates.
Pet parents must be 18 or older to purchase this insurance.
Waiting periods apply in the first plan period.
Accident & Illness insurance and Accident-Only Coverage begins on the 15th day after the policy effective date listed on policy. Coverage for Preventive care starts on the policy effective date. The waiting period begins on the first effective date of the applicable coverage. Conditions that show symptoms before the plan’s effective date or during a waiting period will be considered pre-existing and ineligible for coverage, even if they haven’t been formally diagnosed or treated by a veterinarian. NOTICE TO COLORADO APPLICANTS: It is unlawful to knowingly provide false, incomplete, or misleading facts or information to an insurance company for the purpose of defrauding or attempting to defraud the company. Penalties may include imprisonment, fines, denial of insurance and civil damages. Any insurance company or agent of an insurance company who knowingly provides false, incomplete, or misleading facts or information to a policy holder or claimant for the purpose of defrauding or attempting to defraud the policy holder or claimant with regard to a settlement or award payable from insurance proceeds shall be reported to the Colorado Division of Insurance within the Department of Regulatory Agencies.

Coverage for preventive care, like annual wellness exams, vaccines, and screenings, is not included in this plan. You can add preventive care coverage for a little more per month after you select your base plan.
